Controlled manufacturing processes
Ethypharm has three manufacturing sites, which are strategically located in Europe and Asia. Each of these production units has an integrated team devoted to quality management. The Ethypharm sites have a wide range of manufacturing processes to meet its customers' every need.
In France the Grand Quevilly and Châteuneuf-en-Thymerais sites meet "Good Manufacturing Practice" (GMP) requirements. The sites were approved by the various international health authorities and are certified to export all over the world, and particularly to Europe, the United States and Japan.
The production site located in China (Shanghai) supply the local and neighbouring markets.
Manufacturing Processes - the different steps
Micro- and Nanoparticle Manufacturing
This first step of the process, which produces microgranules, is performed by conventional turbine or perforated technologies, High Shear granulation technologies, or Fluid Air Bed (FAB) technologies.
Preparing microgranule dosage forms
The second step consists of turning the obtained microgranules into capsules (through simple encapsulation or double-filling), or compressing them to obtain traditional, orodispersible, matrix or multilayer tablets.
The drugs are then delivered to the customers, either in bulk form or fully packaged by us.
Packaging
Ethypharm has the equipment needed to package medicines in boxes for the end-user (in PVC or aluminium blister packs).
